How to Reach Us

Call us at (619) 350-3792 to get a job on the schedule. Our address is 4747 Executive Dr, San Diego, CA 92121, which sits close to Kearny Mesa and about a mile north of Serra Mesa and Clairemont Mesa East. That puts us within a few miles of most of the neighborhoods we work in day to day: Tierrasanta, Linda Vista, Mission Valley, Grantville, Allied Gardens, Normal Heights, University Heights, North Clairemont, and Bay Park all sit inside a two-to-four mile ring from our door. We also take calls farther out - La Mesa, Lemon Grove, National City, Bonita, and the rest of the service area run seven to seventeen miles from here, which is a longer drive but still a normal one for us. If you're not sure whether your address falls inside that range, just call and ask; we'd rather tell you upfront than have you wait on a truck that isn't coming.

The phone is the fastest way to reach a person who can actually look at your door situation and tell you what's involved. We don't run a contact form on this page - just the one number.

After You Call

Most of the houses in this part of San Diego went up between 1967 and 1992, with the middle of that range sitting around 1975. That's true across the roughly 21 named areas we cover, from the older 1960s stock in places like Normal Heights and University Heights to the slightly newer builds further out toward Rancho San Diego and Lakeside. What that means on a service call: a lot of doors still running original torsion springs sized for hardware nobody makes anymore, tracks that have been reset once or twice over the decades, and openers that are on their second or third motor. When you call, we ask what the door is doing - won't open, won't close, off the track, spring snapped - and we ask roughly how old the house is, because that tells us a lot about what we're likely to find before we even load the truck.

We work on the door itself: springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels, and openers. We don't do landscaping, fencing, or general handyman work, so if the request is really about something else attached to the garage, we'll say so rather than take the job and figure it out later.

Who You Are Dealing With

This is a garage door company, not a general contractor with a sideline in doors. San Diego's mild coastal climate means we don't see the frozen-track or ice-jammed-opener calls that companies further inland or up north deal with every winter - most of what fails here fails from age and cycle count, not weather. That's a small thing, but it changes what we stock on the truck and what we recommend: fewer weatherproofing pushes, more attention to spring life and roller wear.

We're not going to tell you every repair needs a full door replacement. Sometimes a 1975-era door with a cracked panel is fine to patch and keep running for years; sometimes the torsion hardware is so far gone that putting new springs on an old shaft is just delaying the same call six months out. We'll tell you which one you're looking at and let you decide. One limit worth stating plainly: if a part is genuinely obsolete - some of the oldest one-piece doors in this housing stock use hardware that's hard to source - we'll say that upfront instead of promising a same-day fix we can't deliver.

Questions

Frequently asked

Straight answers about garage door repair in San Diego. Still unsure? Ask us directly.

Do you cover my neighborhood?

If you're within roughly the 7-to-17-mile range of our Kearny Mesa-area location - that includes places like La Mesa, National City, Bonita, and Lakeside, plus the closer-in areas like Tierrasanta and Mission Valley - yes. Call the number and give us your address and we'll confirm before scheduling anything.

Why does my garage door hardware look outdated?

A lot of San Diego housing in our service area was built between 1967 and 1992, with plenty of it from the 1960s and 70s. Original torsion springs and track hardware from that era are often sized differently than what's sold today, which is why replacement parts sometimes need to be matched rather than swapped off the shelf.

Do you handle openers or just the door itself?

Both. We work on springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels, and openers. We don't take on general home repair or landscaping work attached to the garage structure - if that's what you need, we'll tell you plainly instead of taking the job.

Is a same-day repair always possible?

Not always. Most jobs go fast, but if your door uses older or obsolete hardware - which shows up more often in this area given the age of the housing stock - sourcing the right part can take longer than a same-day fix allows. We'll tell you at the time of the call what to expect.
